About Yaran Culture’s Projects

What We do

Yaran allocate the budget in different projects in following categories:

Gandom (گندم)

Gandom project was the very first project Yaran embarked on when it was first established. The project was managed and directed by Ali Mirjalil and Ahmad Azad and it provided the needy families with food (pasta, chicken, meat, oil, rice, etc.) routinely. The project was named Gandom, as it means wheat in English and it is synonymous with abundance in Persian culture. The project event usually evolved into distribution of food on occasions such as Nowruz and its budget was allocated to other functions deemed more urgent by the group, necessary and aligned with Yaran’s goals and objectives.

Maskan (مسکن)

Due to poor economy, high inflation and unemployment, and other social issues, many families from the lower and even the middle class are unable to cover their housing expenses. These families, after identified, investigated and approved by Yaran members for their financial distress and for justifiable reasons, under Maskan meaning Housing, project will become eligible for coverage. Yaran will pay 50% of their monthly rental expenses with a cap of 1.5 million toomans, equivalent of about 30 U.S. dollars, hoping to lower their monthly financial burdens.

Kar O Danesh (کارو دانش)

In an effort, no matter how small, to stop the increase in the number of working children, with the collaboration and hard work of its members, Yaran embarked on the Kar O Danesh, meaning Skill & Education, project. In this project, teenagers from needy families have access to classes and training in skills such as sewing, tailoring and pottery with absolutely no cost to them. The cost of trainers, labs and studios, tools such as sewing machines and other items such as fabric, sewing thread and pottery supplies is paid for by Yaran and its sponsor. Upon completion of their training, they will be skilled and ready to enter the work force.

Darman O Daroo (درمان و دارو)

The high cost of medicine and medical services and the unavailability of health insurance for families within the lower and deprived sector of the society, has prevented them from receiving the medical attention necessary for a minimum acceptable standard of healthy living. Darman O Daroo , meaning Treatment & Medications, project comes to the aide of such patients, after their eligibility has been researched by and approved by Yaran members. Trustworthy and reliable pharmacies and pharmacists have been identified and instructed to provide the medication needed by the needy patients and invoice Yaran for the expenses. Patients may also request for assistance for treatment expenses, and upon their eligibility and availability of funds, Yaran will provide the needed assistance. The funding for this project is provided by Yaran’s general funds and designated funds received from our sponsors.

Moheet Zeest (محیط زیست)

Caring for the health and well being of all living species, plants and animals, wild or domesticated is our responsibility as human beings. In Moheet Zeest (Living Environment) project , Yaran offers financial support to provide care for plants, animals, parks and all ecologically related projects. Our past projects consist of park clean up, providing food and shelter for dogs and we strive to offer our support in preserving our forests and wildlife.

Ketab (کتاب)

Ketab, meaning book, project is fully funded from designated funds received from the project sponsor. At the request of the sponsor and in collaboration with Yaran members, approximately 1000 books, suited for elementary school age children, have been purchased and turned over to schools in under privileged areas to establish libraries in their facilities. The books’ subjects were chosen to motivate and encourage the students and make them aware of their abilities, freedom and the enormous opportunities awaiting them with education.

Let's follow the right path with our heart and soul.
